WRT Zone The Warrior Writing, Research & Technology Zone

Located on the 2nd floor of the UGL, the WRT Zone is your one-stop shop for help with writing projects, library research, and technology support.

Technology Help

The WRTZone has staff available to help with technology related to completing assignments/projects. The Zone also has a small lab of computers available for students to use. These computers are equiped to help support multimedia projects and are available for any regestered students to use regardless of major.

Lab Hardware and Software

The lab consists of 10 iMac computers loaded with multimedia editing software. This includes:

  • Photoshop® CS6 Extended
  • Illustrator® CS6
  • InDesign® CS6
  • Acrobat® X Pro
  • Flash® Professional CS6
  • Flash Builder® 4.6 Premium Edition
  • Dreamweaver® CS6
  • Fireworks® CS6
  • Adobe Premiere® Pro CS6
  • After Effects® CS6
  • Adobe Audition® CS6
  • SpeedGrade™ CS6
  • Prelude™ CS6
  • Encore® CS6
  • Bridge CS6
  • Story CS6
  • Media Encoder CS6

Two of the computers are in separate Whisper Room ™ edit booths and those computers have Final Cut Pro as well as Camtasia. The booths prived a quieter, more private space to work on media projects.


Use of Facility:

  • For currently registered students
  • Must show OneCard
  • Must sign-in
  • Drop-in use

The Lab is not to be used for the following:

  • Checking e-mail
  • Surfing the Internet
  • Personal uses not related to coursework
  • Using resources to complete assignments that require only standard hardware and software that is readily available elsewhere on campus or in the libraries

Scheduling an appointment

Technology support staff are happy to meet with students. To facilitate the best experience possible it is recommended that students make an appointment at least 24 hours in advance.
